Introducing the CellMaker Lite 2 ^TM series of products - an alternative to shaking, stirring, rocking or rolling cell cultures.

The CellMaker Lite2 is the ideal choice for protein expression in E. coli and Pichia.  No other single-use format can grow these oxygen-hungry cells as effectively.

The CellMaker Lite2 series is a unique range of single-use bioreactors which incorporate our unique culture vessel  geometry.  This is designed to provide cell cultures with gentle yet effective mixing and oxygenation, with KLa values equivalent to steel stirred systems. 

The CellMaker Lite2 single-use bioreactors does not require mechanical means to mix or oxygenate.  They rely on the aeration process itself to mix the culture, coupled with  the design of the enclosure that encapsulates a disposable culture bag - called the CellexusBag^TM.

Growing cells in a culture bag is not new.  What is new is the shape of the bag and how its shape is directed by the enclosure that supports it when filled with the cell culture medium.  What is also new is the three-fold way in which the culture is aerated.   This includes the option to pressurise the space above the culture - a unique feature in a disposable cell culture system.

The CellMaker Lite 2’s CellexusBags do not need to be shaken, rocked or rolled, and have better rates of oxygen transfer than a vigorously shaken flask.  Read more.
